LDPE Liner Bags
Low-Density Polyethylene Liners
Dhanshri Polypack specializes in manufacturing high-quality LDPE liner bags that provide strength, flexibility, and leakage resistance for packaging various powders and granules.
Introduction to LDPE Liner Bags
LDPE liner bags refer to plastic liners made from low-density polyethylene used inside containers and boxes to hold contents safely. LDPE is one of the most popular materials for liners due to its flexibility, strength, chemical resistance, and barrier properties.
LDPE contains long polymer chains which gives it excellent flexibility and elasticity to conform to the shape of the container. It has high tensile strength to withstand wear and tear. LDPE offers good chemical resistance allowing usage with a wide range of materials. It can be heat-sealed to securely contain even fine powders. The translucent nature allows visibility of contents. LDPE also provides a moisture barrier to keep contents dry.
Types of LDPE Liners
We offer a wide range of LDPE liner options:
- Plain LDPE liners without any printing, ideal for general purposes
- Printed liners with branding, product information, labels, and logos to promote brands
- Perforated liners with small holes for breathability and ventilation
- Co-extruded liners with EVOH barrier for added moisture and gas barrier
- Custom liner sizes and shapes to exactly fit boxes, bins and container dimensions
LDPE liners are available in thicknesses ranging from 20 microns for lightweight powders to 250 microns for heavy materials.
Applications of LDPE Liners
LDPE liners are extensively used for containment across industries:
- Foods: Flours, spices, rice, sugar to prevent leakage and caking
- Pharmaceuticals: Tablets, capsules, granules to protect from moisture
- Agriculture: Seeds, grains, fertilizers, pesticides spilled during handling
- Chemicals: Industrial chemicals, pigments, powders, granules
- Minerals and Mining: Powdered ores, minerals to prevent dust spillage
- Pet Food: kibble, treats to keep fresh longer
LDPE liners prevent product loss and minimize contamination during transit and storage.
Benefits of LDPE Liners
Key benefits of LDPE liner bags:
- Prevent leakage of fine powders through tiny holes or crevices
- Strong and flexible to withstand rough handling during transportation
- Provide high puncture and wear resistance
- Allow visibility of contents through the translucent material
- Can be heat sealed to securely contain and prevent spillage
- Offer chemical and moisture resistance for contents
- Cost-effective solution for powder containment compared to bags
- Recyclable and environmentally friendly
LDPE Liner Manufacturing Process
We utilize an advanced manufacturing process to produce high quality LDPE liners:
- The first step is procuring virgin LDPE resin in pellet form from trusted and certified suppliers and testing it.
- The LDPE pellets are then fed into film extrusion lines where the material is melted at high temperature and extruded through a die to form a film.
- The extruded film is then passed through chill rolls to cool and solidify it. This is done to achieve the desired thickness consistency across the film.
- The film is then slit into different widths as per requirement on slitter rewinders.
- If printing is required, the slit rolls are printed with branding, product information, logos, labels using flexographic or rotogravure printing.
- The printed film is then converted into pouches and liners using heat sealing on all sides except the open mouth.
- Rigorous quality checks are performed to ensure correct dimensions, proper seals, and no leaks.
- The finished liner bags are packed properly for transit before dispatch.
LDPE Liner Thickness Guide
LDPE liners are available in different thicknesses for different applications:
- Lightweight liners from 20 to 40 microns are suitable for packaging very fine powders that flow easily. These provide moderate strength.
- General purpose liners in the range of 50 to 150 microns offer good strength and durability for most powders and granulated materials.
- Heavy duty liners from 150 to 250 microns are ideal for packaging heavy materials like minerals, ores, and construction chemicals. These offer high wear and puncture resistance.
We recommend the optimal liner thickness based on the product to be packaged, container type and handling requirements.
Anti-static LDPE Liners
We also offer anti-static LDPE liners that prevent build up of static electricity. Key benefits:
- Avoids attraction of micro-fine particles due to static charges during filling and handling. This reduces material loss.
- Provides protection for static-sensitive powders that may deteriorate due to high static discharge.
- Smoother handling without materials sticking to liners due to static charge build up.
These anti-static liners are specially designed for packaging fine electronic chemicals, powder coatings, toner and other static-sensitive powders.
